AFFILIATE CATEGORIES

Affiliate members are divided into four categories based on their usage of the Lifesaving Society:

1. ANNUAL AFFILIATE – any facility that operates year round.
2. SEASONAL AFFILIATE – any facility, waterfront, or portable pool that operates on a seasonal basis.
3. PRIVATE AFFILIATE – any independent Instructor/Examiner who wishes to offer lifesaving programs.
4. COMMUNITY INFORMATION NETWORK – any individuals or organizations who wish to receive our Newsletter, public education material and receive information on upcoming Society events.

Annual, Seasonal & Private Affiliate members are entitled to:

• offer the awards of the Lifesaving Society training programs.
• the processing and issuing of Lifesaving Society training program awards.
• a copy of the Manitoba Branch Program Guide.
• technical assistance from Lifesaving Society representatives for instructors, lifeguards, and programmers as available through the Lifesaving Society office.
• promotional and educational literature, including test sheets, posters, brochures and program marketing material as available through the Lifesaving Society office.
• a resource library that specializes in aquatics.
• promotion and advertising of courses and job postings as available through the Lifesaving Society office.
• various Society communications including the newsletter, Affiliate mail-outs and drowning reports.
• notification of upcoming Society events.
• cast one vote at the Annual General Meeting of the Lifesaving Society – Manitoba Branch .

Community Information Network Affiliates are entitled to:

• receive Lifelines, the Manitoba Branch Newsletter.
• obtain the Society’s National & Provincial Drowning Reports.
• receive information on upcoming Society events.
• receive public education materials as available through the Lifesaving Society office.
